The original dynasty, and now outright the most successful family in the tournament. Familie Jansen lifted the inaugural trophy in Belgium, answered the Hoefakker breakthrough with a statement win in Portugal, completed the treble in Barcelona, and took a fourth in Scotland — the only family to have won in four different countries. Michel — 'Mr No Driving Range' — has carried the same handicap for 30 years, while Bas barely touches a club outside of tournament week. And yet, four titles. Explain that.

Familie Hoefakker
Koen Hoefakker & Willem Hoefakker
Familie Hoefakker broke through in Marbella in 2021 and then made the Costa del Sol their fortress, returning years later to win back-to-back Marbella titles. All three of their trophies carry a Marbella postcode. Willem — 'The Hip' — provides the steady hand while Koen brings the firepower. They drew level with the Jansens at three titles each, but Scotland put them back a step: a third place away from the Costa del Sol, while Jansen pulled ahead to four.

Nick Nijhof & Hans Nijhof
Familie Nijhof is still hunting for their first title — and in Scotland they came closer than ever. Level with Jansen after three days, they walked into the championship flight on the final day at Fairmont and lost it. Hans — 'Cirkelen' — should be thankful that Nick chose him over his Swedish stepdad, though the results sometimes make you question that loyalty. Nick treats golf as a strictly annual activity and shows up to wing it, then goes and tops the individual standings for the week. The talent is there, the practice hours are not. When they finally put it all together, watch out.

Bas Lusthof & Jan Lusthof
Familie Lusthof is a study in contrasts. Jan — straight as an arrow with his new hip — puts the ball in play every single time, while Bas is an absolute powerhouse who regularly launches drives into different postcodes. Scotland was one to forget: four days without a single point and last place, which by tradition hands them the keys to the next edition. When Bas keeps it on the course, this duo is lethal. The question is: how many balls will they need?
